Svartå Manor’s new pavilion opened in May 2017. The pavilion has room for 110 guests and can be used for weddings, parties and conferences.

Weddings, parties and conferences are already an important part of the business of the historic manor hotel. The pavilion is built as an extension to the restaurant Slottskrogen, which has room for 70 guests. The new gothic restaurant has simultaneously been carefully renovated with respect to the unique atmosphere. Groups of up to 190 guests can now participate in events at the restaurant Slottskrogen.

The enlargement project has been accomplished with good cooperation of the museum authorities and the regional building authority of Raseborg. Furthermore, it was supported with 200,000 € by the NTM-central with the purpouse of developing the region of Raseborg.

”It is of great importance that Svartå Manor is investing and enlarging. It is strengthening Svartå and the whole of Raseborg. Private investments are important in order to develop the region. It is also important that the municipality finds a solution to the school- and daycare situation in Svartå. The faster the better.”

Until now restaurant Slottskrogen’s capacity is ranging up to 66 spaces. The new Pavilion will open up the possibility of arranging functions up to 120 guests. Additionally, the traditional restaurant building will be catering for another 90, persons as the new gothic part of the building will be going through a careful renovation with respect to the unique atmosphere.

”The project has a regional importance as it grows the amounts of work places and improves Raseborg’s economic dynamics in these demanding economic times.

The pavilion is going to compliment Slottskrogen’s architecture and at the same time, improve the comfort and functionality of it. The added building is going to be situated in the end of the old coach house where the former terrace was situated. The pavilion’s classic style is planned to live in harmony with the newgothic stable building.”

- architect Filip Linder

The project consists of two parts. At first the pavilion will be built during fall/winter 2016 with the restaurant Slottskrogen working as usual. When Svartå Slott is keeping its annual Christmas holidays and the business is closed the changes in the kitchen and restaurant parts will start. The renovated restaurant Slottskrogen and the new Pavilion will open its doors in spring 2017. The hotel will be open during the renovation and Svartå Slott can also still cater for conference groups of up 20 persons in the Culinary Academy.
