HOW TO GET TO SVARTÅ MANOR

 

Svartå Manor is located in the city of Raseborg (former Karis. Karis is now a district of Raseborg), in Svartå district, about 80 km westwards from Helsinki. Unfortunately Svartå Manor is quite hard to reach by public transport.

There is a train connection between Helsinki and Karis. From Karis railway station there is about 17 km distance to Svartå Manor, which is easiest to travel by a taxi. A taxi journey costs 20 € - 30 €.

There’s a train connection also between Turku and Karis.

You can also reach Svartå village by bus and then take a taxi from Svartå village to Svartå Manor.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS FROM HELSINKI TO SVARTÅ MANOR

MOTORWAY HELSINKI-HANKO

Take motorway no 51 from Helsinki and drive about 60 km towards Hanko. Turn to Salo (highway number 186) about 3 km after Inkoo and drive about 15 km towards Salo. Don’t turn to Mustio/Svartå! The last bit of the journey, see instructions underneath.

MOTORWAY HELSINKI-TURKU

Take motorway number E 18 from Helsinki and drive towards Turku about 46 km. Turn to Lohja on exit nr 23. The motorway ends in a roundabout. Continue following signs to Hanko (highway 25) and drive about 23 km towards Hanko. Turn to the highway towards Salo (number 186) and drive towards Salo about 3km. Do not turn to Mustio/Svartå! HELSINKI-VANTAA AIRPORT

Take the way out from the airport towards Helsinki. After a few kilometres comes KEHÄ III (Ring road III). Turn to your right to KEHÄ III Länteen (West). Drive about 23 km until the motorway to Turku (E 18) and turn towards Turku Drive towards Turku, about 30 km. Turn to Lohja at exit nr 23. The motorway ends in a roundabout. Continue to follow Hanko-signs (highway 25) and drive about 23 km toward Hanko. Turn to the Salo highway (number 186) and drive towards Salo about 3km. Do not turn to Mustio/Svartå! DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TAMPERE-SVARTÅ MANOR HOUSE

Take the motorway to Hämeenlinna/Helsinki from Tampere and drive towards Helsinki about 144 km. In Hyvinkää turn to Hanko (highway number 25) and drive towards Hanko about 74 km. Turn to the Salo highway (number 186) and drive about 3 km. Don’t turn to Mustio/Svartå! The last bit of the journey, see instructions underneath.

 

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS FROM TURKU TO SVARTÅ MANOR

You can drive to Svartå Manor via Salo or via Lohja.

Via city of Salo:

Take the motorway E18 to Helsinki and drive about 20 km towards Helsinki. Take the access in Paimio to the ‘”old Helsinki highway” and drive toward Salo about 34 km.

Turn to the right into the city of Salo. Follow the Tammisaari signs trough Salo. After the city centre turn to the left to the Salo/Inkoo highway (number 186) and drive towards Inkoo about 50 km. The last bit of the journey, see instructions underneath.

 

HOW TO FIND US I SVARTÅ:

Svartå Manor House is located in Mustion Ruukki/Svartå Bruk. Follow the blue signs "Svartå Slott Mustion Linna" when turning from Salo highway. Svartå Manor’s parking lot is about 800m away on the right side, just after the old main gate. The church of Svartå is on the left side.
