The charming restaurant Slottskrog situated in the park of Svartå manor is about to be enlarged with a stylish Pavilion. Due to this enlargment, which is scheduled to be ready in spring 2017, Svartå Slott can host bigger wedding functions, parties and conferences in the future.
The long desired enlargement project has been planned with good cooperation of the museal authorities and also the regional building authority of Raseborg. Furthermore, it is supported with 200,000€ by the NTM-central. The aim of this project is to grow in the hospitality market of Finland and also to develop the region Raseborg.
”It is of great importance that Svartå Manor is investing and enlarging. It is strengthening Svartå and the whole of Raseborg. Private investments are important in order to develop the region. It is also important that the municipality finds a solution to the school- and daycare situation in Svartå. The faster the better.”
- Mayor Tom Simola.
Weddings, parties and conferences are an important part of the business of the historic manor hotel already. However Svartå Manor’s management and staff is determined to ful-fil the customer’s researched wishes and needs especially in connection with bigger functions.
Until now restaurant Slottskrogen’s capacity is ranging up to 66 spaces. The new Pavilion will open up the possibility of arranging functions up to 120 guests. Additionally, the traditional restaurant building will be catering for another 90, persons as the new gothic part of the building will be going through a careful renovation with respect to the unique atmosphere.
”The project has a regional importance as it grows the amounts of work places and improves Raseborg’s economic dynamics in these demanding economic times.
The pavilion is going to compliment Slottskrogen’s architecture and at the same time, improve the comfort and functionality of it. The added building is going to be situated in the end of the old coach house where the former terrace was situated. The pavilion’s classic style is planned to live in harmony with the newgothic stable building.”
- architect Filip Linder
The project consists of two parts. At first the pavilion will be built during fall/winter 2016 with the restaurant Slottskrogen working as usual. When Svartå Slott is keeping its annual Christmas holidays and the business is closed the changes in the kitchen and restaurant parts will start. The renovated restaurant Slottskrogen and the new Pavilion will open its doors in spring 2017. The hotel will be open during the renovation and Svartå Slott can also still cater for conference groups of up 20 persons in the Culinary Academy.
